CANDLE CARE
Proper Candle Care is Essential
To get the most from your wooden wick candle, follow these simple care tips:
-
Trim the Wick: Before each burn, gently trim the wooden wick to around 1/8 inch. Removing any charred wood from previous burns helps keep the flame steady and prevents soot. You can do this by gently pinching off the blackened wood with your fingers or using a wick trimmer.
-
Allow a Full Melt Pool: For the first burn, let the candle melt across the entire surface, reaching the edges of the container. This prevents tunneling, helping your candle burn evenly and last longer.
-
Keep It Clean: If you notice any debris or leftover wick in the wax, carefully remove it. A clean wax surface ensures a steady flame and avoids any unwanted smoke.
-
Burn Time: Avoid burning your candle for longer than 3–4 hours at a time. Allowing it to cool before relighting prevents the container from overheating and extends the life of your candle.
-
Safety First: Always burn your candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, pets, and children. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
